Work order vs job sheet

A work order is the customer-facing authorisation to do the work. It captures the scope summary, the scheduled date, and the customer-agreed price. A job sheet is the technician's on-site record of what was done: hours worked, parts consumed, the work date.

Workflow

1. Customer agrees the scope. The work order is issued.
2. The technician arrives on site and fills in a job sheet.
3. The job sheet becomes the basis for the customer's invoice.

From work order to job sheet

The conversion copies the line items and the parties; the work order's scopeSummary and scheduledDate are dropped (the job sheet has its own workDate and free-form notes). The conversion is a true_conversion in the conversion graph.
