Why these defaults?

The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.

The National Revenue Agency source supports the cited Bulgarian VAT invoice particulars and identifiers. Record retention and the current electronic-invoicing or fiscal-reporting boundary are not yet evidenced here, so this pack remains partial. Simplified invoices, special supplies, reverse charge and taxpayer-specific circumstances remain transaction-specific checks.

  • Guidance: Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency says a VAT invoice must carry the document title, a unique ten-digit sequential number, issue date, supplier and recipient identity and VAT identifiers, goods or services with quantities and unit prices, VAT rate and applicable zero/exemption basis, tax base and VAT amount, and the tax-event or advance-payment date.
