Why these defaults?

The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.

Recorded official or regional-official language tags: es.

Evidence is insufficient for safe claim-level guidance

ONAT and Gaceta Oficial official-domain searches did not expose a current claim-level ordinary-invoice schema, universal retention period or electronic/fiscal boundary; non-official summaries are excluded. This is a documented research blocker, not a conclusion that no requirements exist. No parent-country rules are inherited and no compliance claim is made.
