Why these defaults?

The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.

Recorded official or regional-official language tags: el, tr.

Document vocabulary and checks

The Ministry of Finance source supports the cited Cyprus VAT invoice and reduced retail-invoice particulars. Record retention and the current electronic-invoicing or reporting boundary are not yet evidenced here, so this pack remains partial. Supply categories, exemptions, reverse charge and current tax treatment remain transaction-specific checks.

  • Guidance: Cyprus's Ministry of Finance VAT guidance identifies a VAT invoice number, time of supply, issue date, supplier identity/address/registration number, recipient identity/address, supply type, goods/services description, quantity or service extent, net amount, VAT rate and VAT amount in euros, plus total VAT. A lower-value retail invoice can use a reduced information set.Evidence CY_MOF_VAT_LEAFLET · reviewed 2026-07-18 · review by 2027-01-18 · automation advisory only
