Why these defaults?
The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.
Recorded official or regional-official language tags: fr.

Document vocabulary and checks
Gabon's scoped VAT-invoice particulars and threshold, partial-taxpayer presentation, ten-year record rule and current phased E-Fact/QR boundary are reviewed. Pilot eligibility, future rollout dates, rates, exemptions, NIF validation, approved-device onboarding and transaction-specific treatment remain separate checks.

Tax labels: TVA. Business identifier labels: NIF.
- Required when applicable: For an in-scope Gabon VAT invoice of at least XAF 300,000 to a taxpayer, use the administration's normalised model and show the supplier's name, address and NIF; the tax rate, price excluding tax and corresponding tax; and the customer's name, address and, when the customer is a taxpayer, NIF. Partial taxpayers distinguish taxable and non-taxable operations and show non-taxable amount, taxable amount, rate and VAT.Evidence GA_DGI_CGI_2025 · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
- Required when applicable: Keep books, registers, documents and supporting records subject to tax control for ten years from the last recorded operation or the date the document was created, whether on physical or electronic media.Evidence GA_DGI_RETENTION · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
- Required when applicable: DGI is deploying E-Fact progressively, beginning with a pilot for large and medium enterprises. A normalised electronic invoice is structured, transmitted through an approved device or compliant solution, validated by E-Fact and carries the resulting fiscal QR code; a PDF, image or paper document alone is not an E-Fact invoice. This local preview performs none of those actions.Evidence GA_DGI_EFACT · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
