Why these defaults?

The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.

Recorded official or regional-official language tags: ar, fr, tzm.

Tax labels: VAT. Business identifier labels: Tax Identification Number / Common Enterprise Identifier (ICE).

  • Guidance: Morocco Ministry of Finance/DGI material records that VAT-taxable operators issue pre-numbered invoices from a continuous series or computer system, include customary commercial information, and state VAT on the invoice. DGI also requires supplier ICE on VAT-deduction statements. This local preview does not validate ICE or tax IDs, apply withholding, classify VAT status, determine exemptions, or submit payment-delay/e-invoice records.Evidence MA_MEF_DGI_VAT_INVOICING, MA_MEF_DGI_ICE · reviewed 2026-07-18 · review by 2027-01-18 · automation advisory only
