Why these defaults?
The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.
Recorded official or regional-official language tags: ar.

Document vocabulary and checks
UAE VAT tax-invoice and credit-note particulars, TRN registration vocabulary, baseline five-year tax-record retention, and the Ministry of Finance's current structured-eInvoice boundary and rollout are reviewed. The pilot began on 1 July 2026; group-specific provider and implementation deadlines must be checked against current Ministry decisions. This local document is not a structured UAE eInvoice and does not select a provider, exchange data, report, clear or validate through the FTA. Sector, free-zone, transaction and exception-specific treatment remains conditional professional-review scope.

Tax labels: VAT. Business identifier labels: Tax Registration Number (TRN).
- Required when applicable: For a UAE VAT tax invoice, show the supplier's name, address, and TRN; show the recipient's TRN when the recipient is registered, plus the invoice number, issue and supply dates, supply description, quantity, VAT rate, discount, and AED totals. The UAE eInvoicing programme separately requires structured data exchanged and reported through accredited providers; a PDF, Word file, image, scan, or email is not an eInvoice.Evidence AE_FTA_VAT_INVOICE · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
- Required when applicable: A UAE VAT registrant receives a Tax Registration Number (TRN). Display and validate the registered supplier TRN for a VAT tax invoice; registration applicability depends on the FTA rules and business circumstances.Evidence AE_FTA_VAT_REGISTRATION · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
- Required when applicable: Keep taxable-person accounting and tax records for at least five years after the end of the related tax period, subject to longer periods and extensions under UAE tax legislation.Evidence AE_FTA_RECORD_RETENTION · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
- Guidance: The Ministry of Finance eInvoicing programme is a structured exchange and reporting regime using accredited service providers. Formnivo creates a local printable document only; it does not exchange, report, clear, or validate a UAE eInvoice. Apply the Ministry's current group-specific onboarding and implementation dates.Evidence AE_MOF_EINVOICING, AE_MOF_EINVOICING_2026_AMENDMENT · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
