Why these defaults?

The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.

Recorded official or regional-official language tags: es.

Document vocabulary and checks

Uruguay's current CFE v25 presentation fields, e-Factura/e-Ticket transaction boundary, authorised ranges, transmission/signature model and limitation-period electronic retention are claim-level reviewed. This pack does not enrol an issuer, assign CAE ranges, sign/transmit a CFE or determine transaction-specific IVA, exceptions or contingency treatment.

Evidence snapshot: 7 official sources · last reviewed 2026-07-20. This is scoped guidance, not a jurisdiction-wide compliance certification.

Tax labels: IVA. Business identifier labels: Registro Único de Contribuyentes (RUC).

  • Required when applicable: For an authorised Uruguayan e-Factura between contributors, DGI's current CFE v25 representation rules identify the issuer name or denomination, commercial name when present and fiscal address; issuer RUC, CFE type, authorised series/number and cash-or-credit form; buyer RUC, name/denomination and fiscal address; document date; item or service detail with quantity, unit and final prices (quantity/unit price may be omitted for services); net totals and IVA totals by rate; applicable discounts, surcharges, references, payment means and mandatory legends; and the authority control/advanced-signature data defined by the format.Evidence UY_DGI_CFE_FORMAT_V25 · reviewed 2026-07-20 · review by 2027-01-20 · automation advisory only
  • Guidance: Uruguay's CFE regime uses authorised document types and ranges, electronic generation, transmission and advanced signature. Covered contributor-to-contributor operations use e-Factura; final-consumer operations use e-Ticket, subject to the current rules and exceptions. This generator does not obtain DGI authorisation or CAE numbering, create/sign/transmit a CFE, or produce its regulated original or representation.Evidence UY_DGI_CFE_NORMATIVA, UY_IMPO_CFE_DECREE_ART5, UY_IMPO_CFE_DECREE_ART11, UY_DGI_CFE_FORMAT_V25 · reviewed 2026-07-18 · review by 2027-01-18 · automation advisory only
  • Required when applicable: An electronic issuer retains issued and received CFEs electronically for the tax limitation period, preserving the regulated electronic records and remaining responsible even when a service provider performs storage. Other accounting, dispute or sector rules may require a longer practical hold.Evidence UY_IMPO_CFE_DECREE_ART8, UY_IMPO_CFE_DECREE_ART16 · reviewed 2026-07-20 · review by 2027-01-20 · automation advisory only
