Invoice for Barbados

Create a private, browser-local invoice and set the workspace to Barbados for BBD formatting and Letter print output.

Country-aware checks

  • Tax terminology: VAT
  • Business ID label: Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  • When a Barbados VAT tax invoice is required, it must conspicuously say ‘tax invoice’ and show a serial number, issue date, supplier name or trading name, address and registration number, recipient name and address, goods or services description and quantity, consideration excluding tax, supply value when different, and the applicable tax rate and amount for each category.
  • Barbados Revenue Authority instructs VAT registrants to use the business's TAMIS Taxpayer Identification Number in place of the former VAT registration number and show it on quotations, invoices and receipts.
  • VAT records and books must generally be retained for seven years after the end of the year to which they relate. Electronic records must be retrievable and readily accessible; objections, appeals or a Comptroller demand can extend retention, while earlier disposal needs written permission.
  • BRA's TAMIS service supports electronic tax-return filing and payment. This browser-local printable document does not file a VAT return, pay a tax liability, access a BRA tax account, or obtain authority validation.
