Country-aware checks

  • Tax terminology: No general VAT
  • Business ID label: CVR-nummer
  • Greenland's own 2019 tax-accounting regulation requires an invoice for each sale unless a stated exception applies. The readable invoice includes issue date, a continuous unique number, the seller's CVR or other registration number and contact details, the quantity and nature of goods or services, total sale amount, buyer contact details, and the delivery date when different. It also regulates consolidated invoices, self-billing, credit notes and consumer receipts.
  • The accounting information supporting the tax accounts is retained for five years after the end of the financial year. Retail cash-register strips and equivalent internal vouchers have the regulation's narrower one-year rule after the annual accounts are signed; other laws can require longer.
  • The Greenland regulation expressly permits invoices, credit notes and self-billing documents to be issued and retained electronically, while requiring two copies-one for the buyer and one retained by the seller. It does not establish an EU/Denmark VAT invoice or authority-issued fiscal artifact, and this app makes no such claim.
