Why these defaults?

The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.

Recorded official or regional-official language tags: dz.

Registration, customer classification, exemptions amended during 2026, buyer-created invoices, return filing and transaction-specific GST treatment remain separate checks.

  • Required when applicable: Keep tax invoices and adjustment notes issued and received, plus customs documentation for imports and exports. The GST Rules use a five-year base record period and allow the Department to require particular records for longer to protect revenue.Evidence BT_MOF_GST_RULES_2026 · reviewed 2026-07-19 · review by 2027-01-19 · automation advisory only
  • Guidance: Bhutan's GST framework supports pre-printed or electronic invoices and the Bhutan Integrated Taxation System.
