Invoice for Bhutan
Create a private, browser-local invoice and set the workspace to Bhutan for BTN formatting and A4 print output.
Country-aware checks
- Tax terminology: GST
- Business ID label: Taxpayer Number (TPN)
- For a Bhutan GST tax invoice, show TAX INVOICE, issue date, supplier name, taxpayer number and address; description, quantity and relevant specifications; discounts; total consideration and GST included in Ngultrum; foreign-currency Ngultrum equivalents and applicable conversion rate; and registered-customer name and taxpayer number. A supply above Nu.50,000 to an unregistered person adds the customer details listed in Rule 185.
- The Department's official GST guide identifies invoice number and date as mandatory GST-invoice details. Buyer-created tax invoices have a separately prescribed serial and wording when their authorization conditions are met.
- Keep tax invoices and adjustment notes issued and received, plus customs documentation for imports and exports. The GST Rules use a five-year base record period and allow the Department to require particular records for longer to protect revenue.
- Bhutan's GST framework supports pre-printed or electronic invoices and the Bhutan Integrated Taxation System. This browser-local document does not register a taxpayer, file a return, transmit invoice data, validate a TPN or claim an input tax credit.
