Why these defaults?

The country code comes from ISO 3166. Unicode CLDR supplies presentation-oriented locale, currency, paper, date, language, calendar, numbering, and direction metadata. Defaults reduce setup time; they do not decide what a valid document must contain.

Recorded official or regional-official language tags: nl, fy.

Dutch VAT invoice particulars, seven-year ordinary and named ten-year retention periods, and the original-form boundary for digital invoices and scans are reviewed from the Dutch Tax Administration. This generator does not submit a structured government-network invoice. Low-value, cross-border, reverse-charge and other adjusted rules remain transaction-specific checks.
